We are proud to offer to the public virtual tours via Zoom of the famous Octagon Barn of San Luis Obispo. Many have driven past it, but few have been able to access it, especially during these Covid times.
The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County has lovingly restored this landmark of our county's history. Here's your chance to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour with volunteer historian Marilyn Darnell, on the case to uncover the county's dairy history. About half an hour before the tour starts, you will get an email with your login information. You will need a computer, tablet, or phone that is capable of using Zoom. If you have any questions, please contact us - our information is at the bottom of this page. We think this tour is worth $5, but we'll leave it to you to decide an amount you feel comfortable with. All proceeds will be split evenly between the History Center and the Land Conservancy. Tours will take place at 4:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of August, September, and October. You will be prompted to select a date after entering your name and email. Please keep in mind that registration closes half an hour before the tour starts. |
